Centrum

Du är alltings mitt!
Du är centrum!
Du är evigheten!
Du är leken, dansen och tystnaden.
Du är Döden och Livet.
Ja, allt är Du, inget fattas Dig
fast Du så gärna vill tro det ...

"In things mysterious, I am silence."

A typical malady of the modern era is mankind's inner turmoil, the offshoot of an unnaturally fast pace of life. Silence , means quietening this turbulence by withdrawing from activity and turning all effort inwards. The internal dialogue quietens gradually; and then, when the silence becomes profound, the voice of God speaks.

Thus, the more we come near to hearing God's own voice, entering the ultimate of mysteries, our own need to speak becomes lesser. Compare this to the honeybee, which hums only while hovering over a flower. No sooner than it lands and begins to suck the nectar, all humming ceases.

Delusion

When your intelligence has passed out of the dense forest of delusion, you shall become indifferent to all that has been heard and all that is to be heard ...

Attachments

He who is without attachment, who does not rejoice when he obtains good, nor lament when he obtains evil, is firmly fixed in perfect knowledge.

The senses are so strong and impetuous, that they forcibly carry away the mind even of a man of discrimination who is endeavoring to control them.

While contemplating the objects of the senses, a person develops attachment for them, and from such attachment lust develops, and from lust anger arises.
From anger, delusion arises, and from delusion bewilderment of memory. When memory is bewildered, intelligence is lost, and when intelligence is lost, one falls down again into the material pool ...

One who is not in transcendental consciousness can have neither a controlled mind nor steady intelligence, without which there is no possibility of peace. And how can there be any happiness without peace?

As a boat on the water is swept away by a strong wind, even one of the senses on which the mind focuses can carry away a man's intelligence.

What is night for all beings is the time of awakening for the self-controlled; and the time of awakening for all beings is night for the introspective sage ...

Everywhere are His hands and legs ...

Everywhere are His hands and legs, His eyes and faces, and He hears everything. In this way the Supersoul exists.

The Supersoul is the original source of all senses, yet He is without senses. He is unattached, although He is the maintainer of all living beings. He transcends the modes of nature, and at the same time He is the master of all modes of material nature ...

The Supreme Truth exists both internally and externally, in the moving and nonmoving. He is beyond the power of the material senses to see or to know. Although far, far away, He is also near to all.

Although the Supersoul appears to be divided, He is never divided. He is situated as one.

Infallible

There are two classes of beings, the fallible and the infallible.
In the material world every entity is fallible, and in the spiritual world every entity is called infallible...

Work

... there is no work prescribed for Me within all the planetary systems.
Nor am I in want of anything,
nor have I need to obtain anything
--and yet I work!

The modes of material nature

I shall declare to you this supreme wisdom, the best of all knowledge, knowing which all the sages have attained the supreme perfection

Material nature consists of the three modes--goodness, passion and ignorance. When the living entity comes in contact with nature, he becomes conditioned by these modes.

The mode of goodness being purer than the others, is illuminating, and it frees one from all sinful reactions. Those situated in that mode develop knowledge, but they become conditioned by the concept of happiness.

The mode of passion is born of unlimited desires and longings and because of this one is bound to material fruitive activities.

The mode of ignorance causes the delusion of all living entities. The result of this mode is madness, indolence and sleep, which bind the conditioned soul.

The mode of;
- goodness conditions one to happiness,
- passion conditions him to the fruits of action, and
- ignorance ... to madness...
